Sarah Pollack

In this piece, I created a less traditional form of the typical still life. I created stencils of a rotary phone, glasses, and pen to repeat the images so that I would be able to properly mirror them. I also incorporated the Mola style with cutting out shapes instead of just solid blocks of colors. I created textured painted paper in both cool colors and in warm to create opposing foregrounds and backgrounds. This piece was chosen for the Advanced Placement Superintendents Art show and is currently on display in the Las Olas Museum Of Art in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
