Sarah Pollack

This piece is from my research workbook. The assignment was to create a mirror image by dripping India ink onto one side of the page and closing the book. I chose not to use India ink because I wanted to incorporate color into the piece. Once the ink had dried, I outlined the two figures in marker to further emphasize the image that I saw within the ink. I added textures and designs to the figure on the right and left the other side of the page at its basic form. I used thick lines and geometric shapes to create a tribal theme. The writing on the outside of the women is a further explanation of the piece.
