Sarah Pollack

For this series I used one photo of myself and digitally manipulated it using Adobe Photoshop. With an overlay, I created monotone versions of the photo in orange, green, blue, and red. For the central piece, I mirrored the photo of myself and created shape overlays that inverted the colors which created an optical illusion. This piece represents the fact that sometimes I'm hard to read. Just as optical illusions confuse the eye, I sometimes confuse others. For the outer two pieces, I continued with the mirroring effect. To tie the eight images together, I utilized several self made designs and patterns that have a common theme of circles.
