Sarah Pollack

This piece is a take off on the traditional still life. The main focus of the piece was actually inspired by police tape. I experimented with the technique of crosshatching to create shadows and darker areas. When black and red are juxtaposed, they often evoke a negative connotation. The theme of being cautionary when encountering negativity is portrayed in the piece and is also evident in the top left-hand corner with the word “care.”
